Acute antipsychotics-induced akathisia is a type of acute extrapyramidal symptom.In order to make a better understanding of acute antipsychotics-induced akathisia,this article presented a review on the application of antipsychotic drugs such as the incidence of acute akathisia,risk factors,pathomechanism,clinical manifestation,diagnostic criteria,differential diagnosis and treatment.
