车牌字符分割中区域生长数据的研究

An Analysis on Data of Region Growing for License Plate Character Segmentation

在基于区域生长的车牌字符分割算法中,区域生长数据需要进行复杂的修正才能更为精确地定位出车牌字符。本文在区域生长算法的基础上对区域生长数据进行了分类定义,提出了基于方差递归的字符宽度和高度估算方法,并以此为依据对区域生长数据进行补足和修正;提出了基于区域生长数据的水平倾斜矫正方法。实验结果表明,本文提出的方法具有较好的性能。

Based on license plates segmentation algorithm, the data of region growing need to be amended to locate characters. In this paper, the categorical data of region growing is defined. The calculation method about Character width ＆ height based on the variance recursion is introduced. On this basis the region of characters is amended. At the same time, the horizontal slant correction algorithms are given in this paper. The massive experiments show the effectivity of proposed algorithm.
