On the French Euphemism in Politics

政治委婉语是委婉语的一种,其大量应用于内政、外交和军事中。法国政客利用政治委婉语作为一种语言策略,是一种有意识的语言选择,目的是为了避免说话过于直接,从而在一定程度上起到模糊事实、减弱语言直接刺激的作用,防止听者反感而做出反抗。委婉语旨在避免直接谈及令人不快的话语。

As a kind of euphemism,political euphemism is widely used in internal affairs,foreign affairs and military affairs.French politicians use political euphemism as a language policy,which is actually a conscious language selection.The purpose is to avoid speaking too directly,and thus to some extent,it plays the role of fuzzying fact,weakening direct stimulation of the language and preventing the resistance of the resenting listeners.The euphemisms is to avoid referring to unpleasant words directly.
