元杂剧与明传奇,是我国古代戏曲发展史上的两大高峰,在戏曲史和文学史上均占有重要的地位,对后世戏剧文学的发展产生了重大的影响。王实甫的《破窑记》杂剧和明代无名氏《彩楼记》传奇是元杂剧和明传奇兴盛时期的两部同题材戏曲作品,这两部剧作从内容到艺术表现形式都发生了一些变化,其原因与剧作家所处的文化历史背景密切相关。

These two dramatic works changed a little both in content and in artistic expressing form, and the causes may be closely connected with the historical and cultural background of the dramatic writers.
