杨剑龙先生在20世纪以来的广阔文化背景上考察中国现当代文学的历史进程,观照不同时期异彩纷呈的文学景观,把脉纷纭多变的创作状貌。他从"五四"时期的乡土文学研究出发,探究20世纪中国文学中的基督情怀,忧虑于新时期以来社会转型时期人文精神的失落,以其广博和睿智接通了中国现代与当代的学术脉络。无论是学术研究,还是文学创作,杨剑龙先生的每一篇文章都体现了他作为学者的文化自觉,蕴含着知识分子的良知,浸润着他对当下社会人生的人文关怀。

Yang Jianlong has studied the historical process of modern and contemporary Chinese literature against the broad cultural background since the 20th century,reflecting on colorful literary landscapes of different periods and picturing diverse and varied forms of creation.By starting with a study of local literature during the ＂May 4th＂ Movement,he has probed into the the Christian feelings in the 20th-century Chinese literature and has been concerned with the loss of humanity spirit during social transition since the new era,thus having connected the academic sequence of thought in modern and contemporary China.Be it in his academic research or his literary creation,Mr.Yang Jianlong has,in each of his articles,embodied the cultural awareness of a scholar,the conscience of intellectuals and his humanistic care for life in current society.
