迁安—青龙4.2级地震的短临预报

THE IMMINENT PREDICTION FOR QIANAN-QINGLONG Ms4.2 EARTHQUAKE

1999年 5月 1 2日在迁安市发生 Ms4.2级地震 ,震前在唐山老震区的东端 4级地震平静长达 8年之久 ,地震能量显示出 5个月的低值异常 ,距震中 65km的滦县西法宝深井水位于震前 1个月出现反年变加速上升异常。据此 ,唐山市地震局对此次地震作出了成功的短临预报。

A Ms4.2 earthquake occurred in Qian'an city on May 12,1999.Before the quake the quiet period of earthquake has been lasted 8 years in the old area of Tangshan earthquake.The seismic energy showed a low value anomaly of 5 months.The underground water level of Xifabao well in Luanxian county showed an accelerating rising anomaly against its yearly variation.According to these anomalies Seismological Bureau of Tangshan City gave this earthquake a successful imminent prediction.
