The Scientific Explorations and its Influences on Hypothetical Martian Civilization at the Late Nineteenth Century

本文通过发掘天文学历史上未被关注到的大量文献,对19世纪末一些科学人士尝试探索假想火星文明,以及这样的尝试在当时科学界所引发的争论,对科幻作品创作产生的影响,进行了系统的论述和分析。这些考察除了具有科学编史学的意义之外,也是对科幻作品的科学史意义进行探索的有益尝试。

By exploring a large number of literatures which have not been paid close attention to in the history of astronomy,this paper systematically described and analyzed a series of exploration activities that a lot of scientists tried to search for hypothetical Martian civilization at the late nineteenth century,the controversy triggered by these attempt in the scientific community at that time and the impacts on science fiction novels.The relevant study not only has the significance of the historiography of science,but also is a useful attempt to explore the meaning of science fiction in the history of science.
