Application of honeydew colormetry in determining indexes of aphid resistance of transgenic insect resistant cottons

采用半定量法、称量法和比色法,分析取食不同转基因棉对棉蚜排泄蜜露的影响,建立了棉蚜排蜜量与蚜口密度的回归方程.经比较3种检测方法发现,蜜露比色法具有准确度高、稳定性好和简易的特点,可以作为评价棉花抗蚜性的重要检测方法.

The effects of different transgenic insect resistant cottons on the amount of honeydew excreted by Aphis gossypii were detected by the methods of semi-quantity, quantity and colorimetry. The regression equation between honeydew excretion and the number of aphid was established. By contrast, the honeydew colorimetry was very accurate, stable and convenient, and can be used as an important method in analysis of the aphid resistance of cottons.
