Occupy Wall Street:Nondemocratic Features of American Democracy

本文从"占领华尔街"运动导致"美式民主"模式运转失灵入手,剖析了五种广为流行的"美式民主"运转模式,系统地揭露了这些模式在实践中的扭曲和误导作用,并从平等、自由、人权和民主的关系等角度,揭露了西方民主、自由和人权为本国少数特殊利益集团服务这一非民主的本质特征。文章最后指出,民主和人权经历了一个发展和演变的历史过程,真正的民主和人权只有在全世界范围内才能实现。

Beginning with the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement and the subsequent malfunction of the American democratic model,this paper analyses five popular American democratic models and their twisted and misleading roles in practice.It explores the nondemocratic features of western democracy,freedom and human rights as a function to serve special interest groups.It is concluded that democracy has been a historical and local concept and a worldwide democracy and civil rights cannot be realized unless it is achieved at the global level.
