痄腮是常见的中医肺系疫病之一,现代医学称为流行性腮腺炎。通过对痄腮病名溯源及清代以前中医著作有关文献的梳析,进一步明确痄腮的病名源流、致病病因、发病条件、病机特点、证治方论及预防,以便提供有价值的临床思路和启迪。

Mumps is one of the common blight of lung system and equivalent to acute parotitis.Based on tracing the disease name and analyzing ancient literature of mumps especially before Qing dynasty,we further clarify the origin of the disease name,the causes,the occurrence condition,the pathogenesis characteristics,the syndrome differentiation and treatment as well as the prevention,providing the valuable clinical thought and enlightenment.
