In the Greater Boston Area of the United States,there are 8 research universities founded in different times.They represent the level of the development of regional higher education there.The 8 universities gather together to form the Boston University Cluster,which has a distinctive feature,a clear social service idea and a precise university orientation.The university cluster has had an important contribution to theBoston region＇s economic development and social progress.
