摘要
飞行人员英语等级考试是一项基于网络和计算机的航空专门用途英语能力考试。本文比较了英语教学中EGP和ESP的异同,并对将ESP理论运用于飞行学生ICAO英语强化培训进行了实证研究。实验证明基于ESP理论的ICAO英语教学是一种有效的教学途径,能在短期内有效帮助学员提高航空英语应用能力和"飞行人员英语等级考试"的应试能力。
The Pilot English Proficiency Examination of China is an aviation language testing based on computer and network technology. By making comparison between EGP （English for General Purpose） and ESP （English for Specific Purpose） an empirical study is designed and conducted in ICAO English teaching for pilot students. It proves that ESP teaching approach is an efficient, effective and highly motivated way to improve the trainees＇ aviation English proficiency and the ability to pass PEPEC.
