This article firstly analyzes the current situation,some problems and the trend of the development of Suzhou＇s horticultural industry.Moreover,policies and measures for the development of the horticultural industry are proposed：（1） to co-ordinate the overall planning;（2） to strengthen the construction of high-efficient horticultural facilities;（3） to strengthen the construction of the modern marketing system;（4） to perfect the construction of the product quality system.
