“书以载道”及“文以载道”浅议——读钟家鼎先生的《守望中国书法》

A brief analysis of "Chinese calligraphy for moral instruction" and "literature for moral instruction" ——After reading "The guard and hope for Chinese calligraphy" written by Zhong Jia Ding

本文认为《守望中国书法》一书对"书以载道"这一问题的论述相当深刻,不但论及中国书法承载着中国社会的文化精神,而且提出中国书法承载着中国社会的政治意志。本文表示赞成,并且认为无论是书法的"道",还是文章的"道",指的都是中国的历史文化。因此,所谓"书以载道"、"文以载道",简言之,就是中国古人以庄重的书法和典雅的古文来表现中国文化,实际上就是一个关于内容与形式关系的问题。

the article considers that ＂The guard and hope to Chinese calligraphy＂ makes a profound discussion on the function of Chinese calligraphy’s moral education, I agree that it not only discusses the cultural spirit of Chinese society, but also suggest that Chinese calligraphy would bear the weight of the ethos of Chinese society, and I believe that the Chinese calligraphy and literature focus on the same moral instruction, they both indicate Chinese cultural history. Therefore the conclusion in the function of both Chinese calligraphy’s moral education and Chinese literature’s moral education is Chinese culture that showed by the serious Chinese calligraphy and the ancient text which full of elegance by the ancient Chinese. This discussion is a research of content and form of Chinese culture.
