近代中国由于社会的变迁,传统婚姻观念发生了剧烈的变化。人们的婚姻由过去父母包办逐渐走向自主择偶,青年男女开始享受自由的爱情生活。妇女在婚姻中的地位得到提高,具有了提出离婚的权力,离婚后的妇女也被社会所接受。这与当时西方先进思想的传入、中国开明人士的呼吁、女子教育事业的兴起及资本主义经济的发展等方面有着密切的联系。

As modern Chinese society develops,the traditional concept of marriage has greatly changed from parents-arranged marriage to marital autonomy which means young men and women can enjoy freedom of love.Besides,women＇s position in marriage is improved.They have the right to declare divorce which is acceptable in society.These changes are greatly due to the spread of advanced western ideology,the appeal of enlightened Chinese,the rise of women＇s education and capitalist economy.
