As both a critic and a novelist David Lodge is proficient in all kinds of writing techniques.However,when Lodge＇s writing techniques encounter his irrationality in writing,his works fall into paradoxical discourses naturally.The paper seeks to analyze the Small World from the perspective of the realistic and experimental literature discourses in literature.
