Jia Pingwa is a rare and great writer famous for the unique style and deep implication of his works in the contemporary literary world of China.Discussion was made of the local complex by studying his local novels.Jia＇s concern over folk living state and worries about the backward concepts in northwest China were revealed in four aspects of attachment to hometown landscape,praise for local women as well as defence for them against discrimination,his Shangzhou complex,and his reflection on local life of misery.Broadness and profundity of northwest culture is unfolded in magnanimity and simplicity of local folks in his hometown of Shangzhou.
