This paper finds out the macroeconomie policy is only one of the determl- nants of the local government debt expansion by using dynamic optimization model. In the course of local government debt expansion, the local officials evaluation mechanism plays a key role. Therefore, The fundamental method is to reconstruct local officials evaluation mechanism in order to prevent the local government from blind expansion, and ensure the stable development of the national economy.
