Separation and determination of pigment in red pepper in teaching Food Biochemistry is an integrated vocational training project in the task-driving teaching mode.It covers various methods and techniques to develop students＇ skills and to improve their professional quality.This series training projects including： extraction of carotene,lycopene and lutein in red pepper with weak polar solvent,separation of them with column chromatography,detection of separating efficiency with thin-layer chromatography and spectrophotometry were determined its content.
