Schema Theory and Improvement of Teaching of English Listening and Speaking in Independent Colleges

听说一直是大学英语教学中的薄弱环节。众多研究探索"图式理论"在英语听说教学中的应用,对于英语听说教学改革具有重要的启示和借鉴意义。结合笔者所在独立学院英语听说课程的教学现状及学生的学习现状,探讨图示理论指导下适合独立学院特点的英语听说教学方法。

Listening and Speaking in college English teaching is still a weak link. Numerous studies explore the application of Schema Theory in the teaching of English Listening and Speaking, which is significant for the reform of teaching. The paper, on the basis of the current situation of Listening and Speaking teaching and learners＇ learning in College of Science and Technology of China Three Gorges University, aims to explore the proper methods of Listening and Speaking teaching which are suitable for the learners of Independent Colleges.
