Xintiandi is an affluent, car-free shopping, eating and entertainment area in Shanghai. It includes shopping malls and reconstructed traditional shikumen （stone- warehouse-gate houses）, in narrow alleys, which serve as bookstores, cafes and restaurants. It was the site of the Communist Party of China＇s first national congress. Traditions and modern life meet in the area.
在上海，不经意间就会经过新天地。这块不大的都市商业地标．建在中共一大的会址上，至今保留着古老的石库门的建筑特色，成为传统与现代的碰撞之地。
