摘要
Xintiandi is an affluent, car-free shopping, eating and entertainment area in Shanghai. It includes shopping malls and reconstructed traditional shikumen (stone- warehouse-gate houses), in narrow alleys, which serve as bookstores, cafes and restaurants. It was the site of the Communist Party of China's first national congress. Traditions and modern life meet in the area.
