摘要
随着Internet/Intranet的迅速发展,Web数据库技术越来越受到人们的重视。在传统的HTML页面中,访问数据库一般是通过公共网关接口(CGI)技术来实现的,这种方法虽然投资少,但开发困难,而且当发生多个并发请求时,会浪费服务器的宝贵资源。而微软的Microsoft IIS 3.0和4.0版本中提供的2种Web数据库解决方案:IDC(Internet Database Connector)和ASP(Active Server Pages)则使开发者在网上建立数据库的工作变得非常轻松,不失为目前较为成熟而便利的开发工具。本文将通过实例对这2种方法进行详细分析。
With the rapid development of Internet/Intranet , the web database technology is attracting more and more attention. In the traditional HTML web pages, the access to the database is usually achieved through Common Cataway Interface (CGI) technology, although this method needs less investment, the development is rather difficult, and when concurrent requests happen, the precious resource of the server will be wasted. Then the two web database solution plans provided by Microsoft IIS 3. 0 and 4. 0, which seem to be a rather mature and convenient tool of development: IDC (Internet Database Connector) and ASP(Active Sever Pages), make it very easy for developers to establish database in the web. The two methods are analyzed with examples in detail in this article.
