A description is given of a 150 kt/a porous ammonium nitrate unit, with respect to its completion and commissioning, its process flow, equipment selection and manufacture, and operation results of key pieces of equipment. The construction of the unit and deficiency in design are summed up, and improvements are suggested, with appropriate measures. After the unit goes on stream, it runs stably, the matching is reasonable, all process indices attain the expected operation results, and it reaches 80% -90% of the design production load in a short period.
