摘要
公示语翻译的目的是为了在译入语中找出同译出语相对的话语以传递译出语所表达的意思,双方间文化的差异使得翻译过程中特别需要警觉的是"伪对应"翻译,即形式上似乎完全一致而实际内涵根本不同的错译。本文以浙江省杭州市旅游景点和绍兴市名人故居公示语翻译为例,从文化关联理论和跨文化视域的角度,对公示语"伪对应"翻译问题进行了探讨,并提出有效的解决措施。
The purpose of translation of public signs is to find the right equivalence in the target language to match the meaning of the original language in order to convey the same meaning. The differences between two cultures require great caution against pseudo equivalence. This paper discusses pseudo equivalence and put forward some solutions from the intercultural perspective and based on the relevance theory. The examples are taken from the translations of public signs in the scenic spots of Hangzhou and the former residence of eminent figures of Shaoxing of Zhejiang Province.
