《醒世姻缘传》中一些字面普通而义别的非方言词也值得考察,既可补充黄肃秋先生的校注,还可对大型辞书的训释加以完善。"低钱"除有"成色低的钱"之义外,还可指面额小的钱。"不扶甘结"即"对官府出具的不虚假的字据"。"照提"当释为"行文逮捕罪犯"。"梳栊"形体不误,有多种异体,语源为"上头"。"折程"为明清时期一种送礼的名目。"秫"不是玉米,实乃高粱。

Xingshi Yinyuan Zhuan contains some words, common in form but different in meaning, which deserve further investigation. The findings will supplement the annotations by Mr. Huang Suqiu and will improve the paraphrase of large dictionaries. ＂Di qian＂ means both ＂the coins with low percentage of gold or silver＇＂ and extra small sum of money. ＂Bu fu gan jie＂ means ＂the authentic written pledge presented to the official department. ＂ ＂Zhao ti＂ refers to ＂the official document to arrest a criminal. ＂ As for ＂shu long＂, there are many variants, with the etymological origin of ＂shang tou. ＂ ＂Zhe cheng＂ is actually an appellation for sending gifts in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. ＂Shu＂ is sorghum rather than corn.
