According to the carnivalization theory,the paper analyzes the characters＇ carnival features in Conrad＇s The Heart of Darkness.On the basis of that,the paper further discusses the characters＇ spirits of equality and freedom,alternative and modification in the theme,and the effects of satirical imitation and space-time apposition achieved through the employment of language and the setting of scenes.
