Cultivating Students' Math Language Ability in Middle School

数学语言是数学化了的自然语言,是数学特有的形式化的符号体系,包括文字语言、符号语言和图形语言。数学语言能力就是对文字、符号和图形语言进行相应转化并应用于解决数学问题的能力。初中是培养学生数学语言能力的关键时期,重视这一能力的培养,不仅有利于提高学生对数学概念的理解,而且有利于学生数学解题能力的提高。

Math language is natural language in math field,is a unique symbolic system including word language,sign language and graphic language.Math language ability is the one that can convert one language into another to solve math problems.Middle school is a critical period for math language ability development,if enhanced,it will do good to students in understanding in math concepts,moreover,help students to solve math problems.
