摘要
提出了一种基于V氏图的图像分割及表示方法 .它包括一个分割过程和一个优化过程 .通过分割过程将图像粗略分割成灰度分布均匀的多边形区域 ,优化过程通过调整V氏图种子点的位置 ,使得各个V氏图区域中的灰度变化达到极小 ,以使相邻V氏图区域的边界能够吻合图像的轮廓 .文中同时采用每个V氏图区域内的像素均值来表示原始图像 ,并引入了区域边界上的平滑滤波来减小描述误差 .
This paper proposes an image segmentation and representation method based on Voronoi diagrams, which is composed of a segmentation process and a refinement process. An image is firstly segmented into approximately homogeneous polygon regions by a split and merge process, and then a refinement procedure is conducted, which minimizes the variation in gray level values within each Voronoi region by adjusting the position of its seed, so that boundaries between adjacent Voronoi regions can run parallel to the contours of the image. Mean gray level values within Voronoi regions are also utilized to interpolate the original image and a smoothing filter is introduced to further reduce the description error on region borders.
