摘要
本文以社会文化理论为框架,采用"半结构式访谈法"对留学英国的TESOL专业中国硕士生学习策略的发展变化进行了个案研究。研究表明英国研究生教学环境、他人以及自我中介工具会对中国留学生的学习策略产生中介作用,但中介作用的大小之于成功学习者与不成功学习者有很大差异,自我中介水平是造成差异的重要原因。文章最后讨论了英国研究生教育对中国大学教育的可借鉴之处,以及中国留学生应为出国学术型研究生学习做好哪些更充分的准备。
This case study aims to explore the development and changes in learning strategies of Chinese international students on TESOL master's programme in UK. Sociocultural Theory is adopted as the basic research framework and semi-structured interviews are used as the fundamental research method. Results show that Chinese international students' leaming strategies are mediated by the UK postgraduate teaching and learning environment, teachers, classmates and Chinese students themselves. However, there are significant differences in the effects of mediation between successful and unsuccessful learners, self-mediation being a key factor. The implications of British postgraduate education on China's universities are provided and efforts and preparations to be made by Chinese students before they go abroad are suggested.
