In July 1926, with Guangzhou national government blowing the horn of northern expedition, China national liberation movement came into a new stage.Britain, Japan and other powers'colonial interests were under severe impact. Faced with this situation, British and Japan have taken measures to protect their interests.British introduced the "Christmas Memo" showing "compromise" attitude; Japan issued a "new policy" for "friendliness".Meanwhile, British sent Japan the signal for help on different occasions, but Japanese's reaction is discussion without action. The underlined reason is the weak impact of China's national liberation movement on two countries and the uncoordinated conflict of fundamental interests of two countries.
