The IPv4 address will be exhausted quickly all over the world.As the core of Next Generation Internet Protocol,IPv6 can provide the efficient,safe,reliable and better quality of service,and the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 is inevitable.The concepts of IPv6 and the transition technology from IPv4 to IPv6 are introduced,and the IPv6 transition scheme of hunan city university is designed in this paper.
