Preface of a Research on the Works by Fifty Writers of the Northern Song Dynasty

《四库提要北宋五十家研究》是日本立命馆大学笕文生教授及其高徒野村鲇子女士研究《四库提要》北宋名家集的专著。《四库全书》是清代乾隆年间编纂的一部大型丛书，经、史、子、集皆收，此前我国的重要古籍可谓搜罗几尽。《四库提要》是一部重要的目录提要，笕文生教授等从中首先选了北宋五十家加以训读、语译、注释，提供给日本读者，十分必要、颇具眼光，因为举世公认，中国古代文化造极于北宋之世。所选颇有代表性。

A Research on the Works by Fifty Writers of the Northern Song Dynasty Collected in Si Ku Ti Yao is a monograph by Professor Jian Wenshen and his student, Ms. Yecun Nianzi, and both of them work in Liningguan University of Japan. Si Cu Quan Shu is a pot collection of books compiled in the period under the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, which nearly gathers all kinds of important ancient books before Qianlong, and Si Cu Ti Yao is a book of important contents and summaries of the collection. Jian Wenshan and Yecun Nianzi have selected works by fifty Northern Song writers from Si Cu Ti Yao, Providing explanations, translations and nnotations for Japanese readers. Their efforts are quite necessary and farsighted, because it iswell known that Chinese culture has reached a very high level in the Northern Song Dynasty. So what have been Selected in the monograph is representative.
