摘要
乙醛脱氢酶1是细胞质里的一种酶,可以将细胞内的许多醛转化为羧酸,参与细胞内有毒物质的降解和细胞的自我保护。早先被证明在造血干细胞中高表达,随后被认为是正常干细胞的标记物。新近的研究表明,乙醛脱氢酶1活性表达与多种肿瘤干细胞相关,在乳腺癌干细胞、大肠癌干细胞、肺癌干细胞、卵巢癌干细胞、肝癌干细胞、前列腺癌干细胞中均表达,但是,乙醛脱氢酶1尚不能做为一种广谱的特异性肿瘤干细胞标记物,其对于肿瘤干细胞的识别、分离意义可能取决于其在所对应的正常组织中的表达水平。
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1（ALDH1）is a cytosolic enzyme responsible for oxidizing a range of aldehydes to their corresponding carboxylic acids,so it involves in the degradation of cellular toxins and the self-protection of cells.It has been proved that human hematopoietic stem cells contained high expression levels of ALDH1 and ALDH1 is regarded as a stem cell marker.Recently,several studies have showed that the activity of ALDH1 was associated with many cancer stem cells,including breast cancer stem cells,colon cancer stem cells,lung cancer stem cells,ovarian cancer stem cells,liver cancer stem cells,prostate cancer stem cells.However,it is controversy to say that ALDH1 is a universal cancer stem cell marker.Weather the ALDH1 is crucial for identification and isolation of cancer stem cells might depend on the expression levels of ALDH1 in the corresponding normal tissues.
