《英汉科技翻译教程》是上海外语教育出版社为我国理工科院校高年级学生出 版的一本翻译教材。例句丰富是该书的一大特色，其中不少例句还是译界人士常引 常用的名句。笔者在学习和使用该．书时发现，部分例句的译文似有失偏颇，亟需商 榷和修正。
The Textbook of Scientific and Technological Translation.from English to Chinese, a book designed for students in higher grades at universities of science and engineering, has been widely used and duly welcomed since its publication by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press in 1990.To help the users better comprehend the underlying theories and skills, the writers have carefully prepared a profusion of typical examples (mainly sentences). The authors of this article notice that some original sentences cited as examples are poorly or even wrongly understood and rendered, which, if not timely pointed out and corrected, are likely to misguide or confuse the readers. This paper is hereby written to discuss some of the translations.
