Asthma have classically been considered as the results of dysregulation of Thl/Th2 paradigm, dominated by Th2 cells. Recently, researches demonstrate that Thl7 cells play crucial roles in the development of asthmatic inflammation, which provides new insight into the pathogenesis of asthma. A lot of researches show that Thl7 and Th2 involved in controlling asthma, Thl7/IL-17 not only mediated neutrophilic airway inflammation, but also regulated inflammation eosinophilic airway inflammation, airway hyperresponsiveness and mucin secretion, steroid resistance are closely related.
