The paper described the basic methods of tracer methodology to apply for nursing safety management.By setting up the following-up team of tracer methodology for nursing safety management,by means of case study,case tracing and system tracing,carrying on tracing inspection on the nursing care experience received by the patients,unsafe factors in the process of the treatment and nursing care are analyzed and the improvement programs are formulated and implemented to reduce nursing risks,improve nursing quality,ensure patient safety and harmonize nurse and patient relationship.
