Types and Spatial Characteristics of Funeral Custom in Tibetan Plateau

青藏高原由于地域辽阔,自然地理条件复杂多样,各地社会经济发展水平极不平衡,再加上民族构成的多元性,人们的观念有着很大的差别,从而导致丧葬形式的复杂多样。但就主体葬式的空间分布来看,大体可以分为两个区域:一是以卫藏地区为核心的天葬区;二是以青藏高原周边地区为主的混合葬区。青藏高原各地不同的葬式,是各民族在长期的历史过程中,受各自生活的环境条件、民族习惯、思想观念等因素的影响所形成的。

Because of the vast region,complex and diverse natural and geographical conditions,the social economy development level is extremely uneven.The ideas of people are very different in Tibetan Plateau,which leads to the funeral form complex and diverse.The spatial distribution of the main funeral ceremony can be roughly divided into two areas.The first is the celestial burial area mainly distributed in central Tibet.The second is the mixture burial area distributed in the surrounding area of Tibetan Plateau.The different funeral ceremony formed at respective living environment conditions,national habits,ideas and other factors in the long historical process.
