中国和印度是世界上最大的两个发展中国家,地缘优势明显,双边贸易额不断增长,但两国在经贸领域的合作水平仍较低。虽然两国早在2005年就对建立双边FTA可行性进行了研究,但至今仍未实现。从经济、政治两方面入手,多角度、深层次地剖析了阻碍两国构建FTA的因素,既有出口市场的重叠,出口商品存在竞争性问题,也有两国存在地区战略竞争问题,同时还受美、日等国的影响。并以此提出了以史为鉴,和平解决双方分歧,加强建设两国运输等基础设施,循序渐进地选取重点领域先行合作的政策建议。

There are obvious geographical advantages and the bilateral trades have been increasing, but the level of bilateral economic and trade cooperation is still low.
