Achievements in the Research on Translation Processes——Preface to Choice-making in the Process of English-to-Chinese Translation:An Empirical Study by Zheng Binghan

翻译研究从上世纪六七十年代以来经历过了四次"转向",从翻译的要素来看,70年代以前侧重原文和作者,七八十年代侧重译文和读者,90年代关注译者,而新世纪以来则关注翻译过程。目前就翻译过程的研究而言,国内还少有佳作,郑冰寒博士的新著体现了这方面的一个重要成果。

Translation studies have experienced four turnings of attention during the past half century ： on author and the original before the 1970s, on readers and the target society from the 1970s, on the translator in the 1990s, and on the translating process in the recent decade. However there have been few studies on translation process in China main- land yet. Dr Zheng Binghan＇s new work may start a new trend.
