南宁是近代以来广西重要的对外通商口岸,南宁的进口商品以日常生活所需的生活资料为主,其最大宗是洋纱的进口,随着贸易的发展,进口商品的货值也随着增长,但并没有给南宁带来先进的生产技术技能;出口商品以农副产品或初级加工产品为主,皮类和植物油类占据主要地位,技术含量低,难以带动民族工商业的发展。

Nanning is the important treaty port since modern times in Guangxi province.Relying mainly on daily necessities,the import of fiber ranks in the first place.The invoice value of imported products is going up along with the international trade going,which,however,did not,bring in advanced skill in production.Farm produce and sideline products constitutes a high proportion of its exported productions,and leather goods and oxidizing solutions take the lead.Whereas it is difficult to drive the development of its industrial and commercial enterprises because of its low technology.
