刘孝标作为梁朝著名学者,一生著述宏富,《隋书·经籍志》多有著录。但由于种种原因,散佚诸多,只能从《隋书·经籍志》《山东通志》等文献中查其篇目。刘孝标著作可考证者涉及史部、子部、集部七类凡七种,并笔受吉迦夜所译佛经五种,而终以《世说注》闻名。

Liu Xiaobiao is a knowledge profound scholar of the Liang Dynast.He had created many books,and most of them were recorded in the Sui Book of Records and Classics.But because of various reasons,some were lost.So we could only know the name of the books though the Sui Book of Records and Classics.The content of the books saved to now,we know they contained the part of history,the part of zi and the part of ji,there are seven types of books totally.He recorded five sutra which translated by Jijiaye.But he was famoused by the Annotation of Shi Shuo Xin Yu.
