“亚当·斯密问题”辨正与转型期中国社会道德建设

所谓"亚当·斯密问题",就是他的两部传世佳作——《道德情操论》与《国富论》对比悬殊、相互矛盾的问题,前者把人们的行为归结于"同情",后者却把人们的行为归结于"自私"。由此学界多把亚当·斯密视为伦理学上的利他主义者,经济学上的利己主义者。其实,这是一种误解。历经几百年的发展,市场经济的逐利本性将人的自私、贪婪、不诚信与不择手段挑拨到新的高度,处于转型期的中国现实社会亦不能独善其身,道德文化建设同经济发展相比仍然是一条短腿。我们对此必须有着清醒的认识,积极应对,在推动社会主义文化大发展大繁荣的过程中,切实加强道德文化建设,增强民族的凝聚力和创造力。

The so-called ＂Adam Smith Problem＂,is his two handed down masterpieces——＂The Theory of Moral Sentiments＂and ＂The Wealth of Nations＂contrast disparity and contradict eath other.The former comes down people＇s behavior to ＂sympathy＂.The latter comes down people＇s behavior to ＂selfish＂.Thus most academia regarded Adam Smith as the egoism altruism,the economics egoist.In fact,this is a misconception.After several hundred years of development,Profit-driven nature of the market economy will in cite people＇s selfishness,greed,bad faith and by hook or by crook to new heights.The reality of Chinese society in transition is also not immuning themselves.Moral cultural construction than the economic development still is a short-legged.We must have a sober understanding,respond actively.In the process of promoting the great development and the great prosperity of socialist culture.Strengthen earnestly the moral cultural construction.Enhance national cohesion and creativity.
