There was a deep connection between Liao Zhong-kai and Hong Kong and Macao, that he has been with a wide range of social relations in them, which provided the basic conditions for his long-time united front work in Hong Kong and Macao. This article focuses on a wide range of his united front work for the compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao after the founding of new China, especially his contribution for resolving the problems, based on the vital interests of the compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao.
