ESP—大学英语教学的发展方向

随着高中毕业生英语水平的不断提高,以及社会对高素质复合型人才需求的不断加大,大学英语教学面临着课程设置和发展方向的问题,在大学英语教学中开展ESP教学的重要性已被越来越多的专家和学者所认同。本文简要叙述了ESP的定义,以及它与普通用途英语的关系,最后提出大学英语教学应逐步把重心向专门用途英语教学发展的看法。
