In Chinese ancient articles and works the distinguishing feature of the sense of life lies in the laying stress on the observation of all things on earth to savour life force, i.e.,to relish the taste of life, infinite interest, and its true essence, so as to appreciate the great beauty of life in the harmony of man and nature. The sense of life in Chinese ancient articles and works has mainly incorporated the following:life force is the essential element of the beauty in cosmos and life; the life force itself to a great extent originates from that of cosmos and life; birth and death or destiny is fundamentally a matter of perplexity and eternal theme in art and literature; many scholars have directly or indirectly worked from different angles to search for the significance of life and to get rid of perplexity in life.
