As the theory of value of neoclassical economics serves as the foundation of mainstream economics,its study plays an important role in the innovation of theoretical economics.Neoclassical economics is known for its tight logic and strong explanatory power.By comparing eight pairs of notions in economics this article draws the conclusion that neoclassical economics is based on Newton＇s natural philosophy and that the study of the theory of value of neoclassical economics may promote basic theoretical innovation in economics.
