Exploitation and Utilization of Vetiver Grass Resource in North-western Hubei Province

本文从鄂西北山区实际出发,分析了龙须草开发利用现状,预测了合理开发利用龙须草资源的前景及潜力,并对如何合理开发利用龙须草提出了可行性建议。文章指出,大力发展龙须草,用其草桨替代木浆造纸,价廉物美,可为国家节约大量木材资源和外汇,并且可在加速山区脱贫致富的同时大量减少水土流失。

According to the actual condition in mountainous area in North-western Hubei bei Province,the authors analyse the situation of exploitation and utilization of vetiver grass and predict the prospect and potentiality in exploiting the vetiver grass resource,and also give out a feasible suggestion of utilizing vetiver grass reasonably.The authors consider that deyelopment of vetiver grass and replacing wood pulp with grass pulp for paper making can save a great deal of wood resources and foreign exchanges for our country and also can decrease the soil loss greatly while rapidly getting rid of poverty for the people in mountainous area.
