Bit plane coding is a two-tone coding technique for the multi-gray scale image. In the paper it is extended, and, with satisfactory effect, applied to compressing coding of inter-frame difference signals of the quasimoving image (Sequence of grabed image). Also, the principle of the inter-frame bit plane coding is described here; the selection of coding parameters is discussed and experimental results are given. Practice shows that the coding method discussed in this paper provides another effective way to realize digital static image transmission.
