摘要
地球上仍有海量的未识别物种,但分类学家的逐渐减少和传统形态学鉴别技术无法广泛普及的局限性使物种形态学鉴别面临着严峻的考验。基于IT技术的物种形态学鉴别系统,包括B/S架构的Web端和手持设备端两部分。使得用户可直接访问专家数据库以判定个体从属的种类,同时也可以上传信息请求专家审核。此鉴别系统在为用户提供方便准确的物种鉴别手段的同时,也为分类学家提供了一个获取大量信息的平台。
There are still a mass of unrecognized species on Earth. However, as the number of morphological classification experts is gradually reducing and traditional morphological identification techniques cannot be widely available, morphological identification of species is facing a severe test. For classification experts, the IT-based species morphological identification system is a convenient tool to collect and sort data. On the other hand, it provides common users with speedy and accurate means of identification of species.
