摘要
《悲悼》是美国"现代戏剧之父"尤金.奥尼尔创作中期的一部力作。女主人公莱维妮亚非常残忍地先后让卜兰特、母亲以及自己的弟弟走上了不归路。论文运用精神生态理论,从莱维妮亚对"自我"的沉迷、"欲望"的放纵和"人格"的分裂三方面来分析造成她疯狂行为的原因。莱维妮亚所制造的悲剧对面临同样精神危机的现代人是一种警醒。
Mourning Becomes Electra is an important play by ＂Father of American Modern Drama＂, Eugene O＇ Neill in his middle writing period. The heroine Lavinia cruelly ends the lives of Brant, her mother and brother successively. From a spirit- ual ecological perspective, the paper probes into the causes of the tragedies by analyzing Lavinia＇ s indulgence in Self, intem- perate desires and disunion of personality.
